California Vintage Guitar & Amp is
located in Sherman Oaks, California, in the heart of the Los
Angeles film and television studio and music recording
communities. We have been actively dealing in vintage and
professional quality guitars, amplifiers and other stringed
instruments in the Southern California area since 1968, and pride
ourselves on being a guitar shop and not a big store. Our
open, comfortable showroom -- designed by the renowned Mary Ann
Jones -- has been the site of numerous TV commercials and video
shoots. All our staff are musicians intimately knowledgeable
about the brands we represent. Glenn Harrison, our full-time,
professional luthier, has over 25 years of experience and is
capable of everything from set-ups to acoustic guitar restoration
and classical guitar building. He is also a member of the Guild of
American Luthiers.
We are an
authorized CF Martin Marquis dealer and full-line authorized
Fender, Guild, National Resophonic and Eastman arch top guitar
dealer. We are also a factory-authorized Martin and Fender
warranty repair center as well as
a Gibson Custom Shop and Gibson
Historic Collection Dealer.

Vintage Guitar is home to John Pisano’s monthly guitar workshops,
which have recently featured Pat Martino, Herb Ellis, Ted Greene,
Mundell Lowe, Laurence Juber, Phil Upchurch, Jerry Donohue, Howard
Alden, Al Viola and many other noted guitar players and educators.
We are
always buying, and we pay top prices for clean, original vintage
and professional quality guitars, amps and other stringed
instruments. We welcome trades and offer generous allowances
against new purchases. This web site represents only part of our
inventory. If you are looking for something in particular, please
let us know.
We accept
all major Credit Cards, Wire Transfers, Cashiers Checks, Money
Orders and Personal Checks (please note, personal checks may take
up to 10 days to clear). International purchases must be paid by
bank wire only. We ship via UPS, FedEx and others.
